Hollywood Studios has been operating as a family run photography business since 1974. We have made it our focus to specialise in what we love doing best, photographing people.

There is nothing more satisfying than seeing the tears in a parent’s eyes or the smiles on a families face when they see all that is dearest to them in an individually designed framed portrait that we’ve created – for us it’s the greatest reward!

Our Team

Ray Schembri

Ray achieved his Master Status with 4 Gold Bars with the Australian Institute of Professional Photography and has been awarded a Lifetime membership for services. He has won 10 – AIPP Australian & NSW AIPP Photographer of the Year titles for Wedding and Digital photography. For 17 years Ray was an active Judge at the Canon Australian Professional Photography Awards alongside his peers and has been a keynote speaker here in Australia and overseas about his style of photography, business acumen and customer service. His love of shooting portraits has seen he and his team commissioned to publish a series of children’s calendars and books for the Bonnie Babes Foundation. Being a boutique style studio where one on one attention and service is paramount, Ray does all the photography, so you are guaranteed quality imagery and 100% attention.

Jean

Jean co-ordinates behind the scenes at Hollywood Studios. Her role includes correspondence with clients, customer liaison and proofing of portraits we capture. Nine times out of ten, it will be Jean that greets you on the phone. She is also a calming force in the studio and is also in charge of administration, workflow and production as well as accounts.

The Australian Professional Photography Awards are one of the toughest and most prestigious photographic competitions in the world, with some 1,400 of the year’s best photographs submitted in different categories. “APPA has been the major catalyst in driving the quality of photography in Australia.
